I saw this play on Broadway about eight years ago. I enjoyed it. It won the Pulitzer Prize for drama and ran for a few years. A few weeks ago, I decided to see the movie for some unknown reason (though I hardly need a reason to look at Gyllenhaal for two hours AM I RIGHT?). I liked it as well.
I’m fascinated by the fact that in the math world, many of the best mathematicians hit their peak in their early 20s. Their brains are like athletes bodies in that sense. My brain is not like an athletic person’s body. It’s like an non-athletic person’s body. My body is also like an non-athletic person’s body.
I’m not sure what the point of this post is. I just realized this is the second movie I watched in a row that is based on something that won a Pulitzer. The next movie I’m planning to watch is a documentary produced by Chris Rock, so you can expect that will win a Pulitzer shortly.
