I don’t particularly like having screaming matches inside of a TCBY, but this was unavoidable.
“This is so the country’s best yogurt,” I said convincingly. She was having none of it.
“It isn’t Red Mango. I asked if we could go to Red Mango.”
“Why?” I asked.
“Because it tastes better,” she replied.
“Right. And what did I say about going to TCBY instead?”
“You said sometimes you have to settle for the yogurt place closest to you instead of spending time and effort to go to a better yogurt place. Then you made it clear that you weren’t talking about yogurt. You were talking about our dead relationship and our equal unwillingness to find something better because we’re both incredibly lazy.”
“You have a good memory, honey,” I said.
“I’m getting extra sprinkles,” she said.
