I gotta feeling about this post
I wrote something two weeks ago that has made its way around tumblr quite a bit, more than anything I’ve ever written. It’s still getting likes and reblogs today, which is causing me to experience something I’ve never have before: scorn towards my own material and the people who like it.
I think I understand how a band feels when all the fans want to hear is the old shit. Seeing people “like” a post I wrote two weeks ago is like someone screaming to me, “sing ‘Let’s Get it Started’” when I just fucking wrote some classic shit like “Boom Boom Pow.”
It’s like, gotta get, get, gotta get, get, gotta get-get, gotta g-g-get, get, get, get, get, get, you know?
