I’m clearly not smart enough to appreciate this
For people who’ve never read this blog before, I mostly post about great thinkers like Baudelaire.
Ok, I’m full of shit. Baudelaire was the first name that came into my head who sounded smart. But what was he famous for?
Turns out, he was a French poet who wrote about sex and death. Maybe this will be good! Let’s check out one of his more famous poems:
- If rape and poison, dagger and burning,
- Have still not embroidered their pleasant designs
- On the banal canvas of our pitiable destinies,
- It’s because our souls, alas, are not bold enough!
Wow. If he were alive today, he’d have a depressing tumblr.
