The Avett Brothers - Paranoia In Bb Major
The fact that bluegrass itself is already pretty indie, makes indie-bluegrass or alt-bluegrass seem redundant. That is, however, the band’s essence, no more no less. I saw them at Webster Hall some months ago and had a raucous time.
The vocals are true and the harmonies simple. Easy listening that is also intense. I love it.
I too was at the Webster Hall show and they blew the roof off the dump. This entire album, Emotionalism, is awesome.
