Hey Lee, Where’s That Phrase Come From?

Today we’re talking about everbody’s favorite phrase:

Hold your horses!

When someone tells you to “hold your horses!” these days, they’re expressing surprise or telling you to wait a minute.

So, that begs the question: “Hey Lee, where’s that phrase come from?”

In olden times, when someone asked you to “hold your horses,” they were actually asking you to pick up your horse and hold it high above your head! If you were able to achieve this feat of strength, you were awarded a medal of bravery from the President.

Thanks for playing and we’ll see you again tomorrow!
